The world of demons, warlocks, and other things that go bump in the night has always been a mystery, everyone wondering which legends were true. In this show, everyone will find out. Shadowhunters is based of the book series “The Mortal Instruments”, there was one movie called “The Mortal Instruments: City of Bones” that got a 12% on Rotten Tomato, a 5.9 rating on IMDB, and a 33 % on Metacritic. The show, Shadowhunters, got a 46% on Rotten Tomatoes, 6.3  on IMDB, and a 45% on Metacritic.

The show goes through the beginnings of a girl thinking she was just an ordinary mundane (human), but she is really a demon hunting Shadowhunter. The main characters are Clary Fray, played by Katherine McNamara, Jace Wayland, played by Dominic Sherwood, Isabelle Lightwood, played by Emeraude Toubia, Alec Lightwood, played by Matthew Daddario, and their mundane friend Simon Lewis, played by Alberto Rosende. When trying to get into art school Clary discovers a world she was never supposed see. Her mother, Jocelyn Fray, has tried for years to keep Clary’s memories about a world she glimpsed as a child suppressed, but when Clary turns 18 her efforts fail. Clary goes through first two episodes discovering this whole world she was supposed to be apart of from the beginning, but then learns that her mother kept it from her for her protection. The rest of the season is Clary trying to find her mom, regain her memories, discover this whole new world and find out just who she and her mom really are.
