Man Arrested After Stolen Car Chase Through Harris and Chambers Counties
A suspect accused of stealing a vehicle and leading law enforcement on a high-speed pursuit spanning two counties has been arrested, according to the Chambers County Sheriff’s Office.
The man, identified as Isaiah Mikal Wilson of Port Arthur, was taken into custody Monday after authorities say he fled from deputies in a stolen car and attempted to escape on foot. Wilson was already wanted on two active warrants out of Harris County, and he now faces additional charges in Chambers County.
The incident began when a vehicle reported stolen out of Pasadena was spotted traveling along Interstate 10. A Chambers County deputy attempted to initiate a traffic stop near mile marker 813, triggering the chase. The pursuit quickly drew support from Texas DPS troopers and Texas Game Wardens.

Law enforcement deployed a spike strip to disable the vehicle, but despite damaged tires, the suspect continued driving for several miles. Near mile marker 810, Wilson allegedly lost control of the car and bailed out, fleeing the scene on foot.
Officials say the suspect ran across all lanes of traffic on I-10 in a desperate attempt to escape. However, he was caught and taken into custody a short time later without further incident.
Authorities have not released specific details on the charges he will face in Chambers County, but the case remains under investigation.
