H-GAC Seeks Public Feedback on 2050 Regional Transportation Plan
The Houston-Galveston Area Council (H-GAC) is inviting residents across the region to help shape the future of transportation. Starting July 15, the council will host eight public meetings—including both in-person and virtual sessions—to gather feedback on its Regional Transportation Plan (RTP) 2050.
What’s the RTP 2050 All About?
The Regional Transportation Plan 2050 is a long-range blueprint that will guide critical investments in transportation infrastructure through the year 2050. It focuses on areas such as:
-
Roadway improvements
-
Public transportation systems
-
Bicycle and pedestrian infrastructure
-
Freight logistics
-
Emerging technologies in transportation
These meetings aim to highlight transportation trends, present county-specific challenges, and open the floor for community members to contribute ideas and ask questions.
