Trio Sought in Early Morning Robbery at South Houston Convenience Store
HOUSTON, TEXAS — Authorities are searching for three men believed to be involved in a coordinated armed robbery that unfolded in the early morning hours of May 21 at a South Houston convenience store.
According to Houston Police, the incident occurred just after 5:20 a.m. at a store located in the 6900 block of Bellfort Street. Investigators say the heist began when a man walked into the store posing as a regular customer and asked the store clerk about shirts. The seemingly innocent question prompted the employee to step away from his protected area behind the counter.
That’s when two other suspects entered the store with firearms drawn. As the clerk attempted to retreat to safety, the suspects physically prevented him from reentering the secure space. They then accessed the store’s safe and stole an undisclosed amount of cash.
The suspects fled the scene in a silver sedan, which was parked outside waiting for a quick getaway.
Descriptions of the suspects have been released:
-
Suspect 1: Black male, dressed in all black — hoodie, pants, and shoes.
-
Suspect 2: Also a Black male wearing a black hoodie, black shorts, and black shoes.
-
Suspect 3: Seen in a plaid shirt paired with black pants.
