FRIENDSWOOD, TEXAS – A late-night call about suspicious activity led to a foot chase and arrest early Monday morning, highlighting a string of criminal incidents that kept Friendswood police busy over the weekend.
Officers were dispatched to the Baywood Apartments in the 4900 block of FM 2351 at approximately 1:26 a.m. on July 1 after a concerned resident reported a suspicious individual on the property. Upon arrival, officers spotted a man fitting the caller’s description. The suspect immediately fled on foot, scaling a fence in an attempt to escape.
Police quickly apprehended the man, later identified as 22-year-old Gary Buchanan of Port St. Lucie, Florida. Buchanan now faces a charge of evading arrest or detention, according to the Harris County District Attorney’s Office.
